Blood splattered all over the walls, dresser, and bed. Clara lied motionless on the floor. A few hours had passed and Hope arrived back to Clara's. Hope knocked on the door. No answer. Hope knocked again. Still no answer. Hope called Clara's phone and no one picked up. Hope noticed that the lights were still on and that her car was parked in the driveway. Hope was confused and a bit baffled as to why Clara was not answering the door or phone call. Hope walked around the house to see if Clara was in her bedroom. The window blinds to her bedroom were open and Hope looked inside to see what was going on. Hope let out a scream of horror and dialed 911.
The next morning, Joseph went back to get the rest of his belongings. As he pulled up to the house, he noticed the yellow cation tape that was covering the perimeter. He hopped out in shock and wondered what went on. The police were still investigating the scene. Of of the officers asked who he was. He told them with no hesitation that he is the ex-husband of the woman who lived in the house. Joseph asked what was going on. The officer informed him that Clara had committed suicide. Joseph's eyes widened as if he saw a ghost. He couldn't believe it. Clara...gone? Joseph asked again what happened to Clara so that he can snap himself back into reality. The officer, once again, told him the news. Joseph was confused and baffled as to why Clara would do this. He was wondering how he was going to tell her parents in Vietnam. He wondered how he would tell his also. The two families were always very close. The police allowed Joseph to go inside and collect his belongings and he was questioned. Joseph was able to answer each question with out breaking a sweat. After all, he was leaving Clara and he knows that he did not kill her. Luckily his stuff had no blood over them. He drove back to Silvia's and pondered about what he saw. He did not see the body, but he saw the damage that Clara did. He arrived to Silvia's and she welcomed him with a huge peck on the cheek. Joseph was not feeling that fully. Silvia sensed that and asked him what was on his mind. He blurted out and told Silvia that Clara had taken her own life.
Silvia, concerned for Joseph, went to him and hugged him tightly. He hugged her back. Once that was over, Joseph summoned the courage to call Clara's mother and tell her that her beloved daughter is gone. Clara's mother on the other end began to cry like a toddler. She accused Joseph of leaving Clara for Silvia and allowing her to kill herself and Joseph immediately shot out every type of profanity towards her. He told the mother that she is the one who refused to accept Clara for being what makes her comfortable and not to every in her pathetic life to blame a thing on him. Joseph did not bother saying goodbye and hung up the phone in pure anger. He did not care about offending the mother of his ex-wife. He knew she was out-of-line. Silvia sat on the couch in complete shock about what just happened. She decided to go into the kitchen and fix herself a mixed drink. Joseph followed her into the kitchen. He asked if she could make him one, also, and to make it strong. Silvia agreed to do so with no hesitation. After all the craziness that occurred, a strong drink was needed to calm a few nerves. Joseph told Silvia to hold off on making him a drink because he wanted to call home. He called his mother and told her everything that happened between him and Clara from the first major argument they had to her death. His mother sobbed, but she was able to pull herself together. She asked him was was going to happen for him from that point. Joseph and Silvia looked at one another. He told his mother that he had already met another woman during the last few weeks of Clara's life. His mother was glad to hear that he was not alone. She asked him to describe the woman to her. Joseph told her that the woman has dark hair, dark eyes, and the skin that resembles the smoothness of milk chocolate. All Joseph heard for a few seconds was silence. His mother finally spoke and told him that she would much prefer that his new woman were Asian, but she will like to meet this woman first. She expressed that she wants to know what is it about the "chocolate" woman that makes him happy. Joseph spent two hours on the phone with his mother and all he could talk about was Silvia, work, life outside of work, and Silvia again. Silvia fell asleep right next to him. After he got off of the phone, he woke Silvia up and walked her to her bed.
The following morning, Joseph headed to the police station to see if they found any leads as to who shot him a while back. The police told him that they are still investigating. They believe that the suspect covered up the tracks very well, but reassured Joseph that this case will not go unsolved. They asked him more questions in order for some more light to be shed onto this case. Once the questioning was over, Joseph left the police station. He drove off to go to the nearest restaurant to grab a bite. He pulled up to the parking lot and went into the building. He ordered his meal, paid for it, them left. He headed to his car and saw a frail, strange-looking woman standing next to it. He walked over to his car and began screaming for her to leave. The woman did not move. Once he approached her, she began to pistol-whip him and kick him in his goods. She bent over and whispered in Joseph's ear. She said that he will pay for leaving her sister to die alone for the "jungle bunny" of a woman. Joseph automatically knew that Felicity was losing her mind and was unsure of what to do.
