Chocolate-dipped fortune cookie Pt 9

Joseph pushed Felicity away from his car, hopped in, then sped off. Felicity dusted herself off and hopped into her car to follow Joseph. She was not going to let him get away with what she though he did to Clara. As Joseph was driving, he had a flashback of what happened to him the day he was shot. The car he saw driving off was the same burgundy car he saw in the parking lot of the restaurant. He wondered who the car belonged to. He kept driving and pondering on who the owner of the car was. Minutes later, he saw the same car coming behind him full speed. At that point, he drove like he was in a NASCAR race.

Joseph got out his cell phone and dialed the police. He knew he was taking a big risk by using his phone while driving, but he knew no other way to go about this. Joseph hung up the phone and kept driving like the police had ordered. As the two cars sped, a highway patrol car came out and chased after Felicity's vehicle. The highway patrol officer turned on his mic and told Felicity to pull over. Felicity did not listen. As she got closer to Joseph's car, Joseph purposely swerved his car in a semi circle. By doing this, he knew he would catch Felicity of guard, but what he did not know or intend was for Felicity to drive her car into a river. Joseph and the patrol officer sat in their cars in shock. They thought Felicity was gone, but to their surprise, she was able to maneuver her way out of her car. By the time she was on land, several police cars had already pulled up. Felicity was arrested and taken in for questioning.

At the police station, Joseph sat in the lobby, waiting for his turn to be questioned about Felicity. He called Silvia at work and told her every detail about what had occurred. She hung up the phone and rushed over to the station.
She entered the station and saw Joseph sitting their in despair. She ran over to him and they hugged one another very tightly. She ran her fingers through his hair and told him that she was happy to see that he is doing well. They passionately kissed eachother and an officer interrupted. He wanted to question Joseph, but got the idea of asking Silvia a question on the spot. The officers also asked her if she noticed anything during the shooting of Joseph. She said that she did. She described Felicity's car to perfection.

The officers looked at one another in excitement as the leads where coming together. Felicity ended up facing a twenty-year sentence for attempted murder towards Joseph. Silvia left the station and Joseph asked her to wait for one moment. He had something special to show her. He went to his car and took the item. It was a soft, golden color. He reached inside of it and pulled out a chocolate dipped fortune cookie. Silvia was so shocked and amused that she did not know what to say. Joseph asked her to take a bite. She said she will not bite into it. Instead she broke the cookie in two parts. As she finally decided to bite it, out came out silver ring with a huge diamond in the middle. Silvia's eyes grew wide, as Joseph proposed to her. After she accepted his hand in marriage, Joseph got up from his one knee and planted a huge kiss on her lips. Everyone in the parking lot of the station applauded Joseph for giving such a creative proposal, even the officers. Silvia promised Joseph that she would not throw away the broken fortune cookie.

One year later, Joseph and Silvia tied the knot. Another year after the wedding date, Joseph and Silvia welcomed a son, named Jr. Joseph flew in his mother from Vietnam and put her in a comfortable, one-story home. Silvia and Joseph go to visit his mother and Silvia is getting along with her more. They take annual trips to New York, where they first met each other to reflect on the happy times of their and the ones that were challenging. While having lunch with Joseph, Silvia pulled out a bag the fortune coolie pieces that Joseph presented to her. Joseph had the warmest smile on his face and went over to kiss his wife.
